The annual App Store Awards celebrates the best apps and games on the App Store, with nearly 40 nominations in 2023. Apple selects apps and games that take advantage of its platform or showcase unique designs and creativity. The 37 finalists across 10 categories were chosen by Apple’s App Store editorial team. The winners will be revealed later in November. Apple Fellow Phil Schiller expressed excitement about the achievements of the finalists and their impact on users worldwide.
The finalists for iPhone App of the Year include AllTrails, Duolingo, and Flighty. The iPhone Game of the Year finalists are Honkai: Star Rail, Afterplace, and Vampire Survivors. For iPad App of the Year, DaVinci Resolve, Concepts, and Pret-a-Makeup are finalists. The iPad Game of the Year finalists include Pocket City 2, Eggy Party, and Lost in Play. The Mac App of the Year finalists are Photomator, Linearity Curve, and Portal. The Mac Game of the Year finalists include Return to Monkey Island, ELEX II, and Lies of P. Planny, SmartGym, and Tide Guide are finalists for Apple Watch App of the Year, while Bugsnax, FitOn, and MUBI are Apple TV App of the Year finalists. In the Apple Arcade Game of the Year category, Cityscapes, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and stitch. are finalists. The Cultural Impact category finalists include Pok Pok, balance, Copilot, Endling, Finding Hannah, How to Say Goodbye, Proloquo, Rebel Girls, Too Good To Go, and Unpacking.
The winners of the App Store Awards will be announced later this month.
