The annual CES 2024 kicked off on Sunday with its Unveiled media event where various brands showcased new products for the upcoming year. AppleInsider was present at the event and highlighted some of the favorite products announced. The event is just a start to the massive technology show, and there is much more to come throughout CES. Some of the current trends include many Qi2 devices, Matter support for vacuums, and numerous new connected devices.
Dreame unveiled its latest vacuum, the DreameBot X30 Ultra, which aims to solve the biggest pain points for robotic vacuums. The vacuum comes with a new attachment with built-in blades to prevent 100 percent of tangles that exist today. They also introduced a new attachment for the bottom of its auto-empty docking station with squeegees to clean the bottom of the docking station, eliminating the need for manual cleaning.
ExoBrew showcased its home beer brewing machine that promises to cut out the mess and hassle associated with home brewing. The machine is powered by the company’s app, which guides users through every step of the process and helps in beer discovery based on flavor profiles.
Withings introduced BeamO, a home checkup device with multiple sensors that allows users to perform an at-home wellness checkup. The results are displayed on BeamO’s colorful LCD display and can be uploaded via Wi-Fi to the company’s app to be synced through the Apple Health app.
Govee, after withholding support for Apple Home, is now adding support through Matter. The new lighting products include an updated AI sync box and a second-generation neon light strip, both certified with Matter.
Ugreen showcased its new collection of network-attached storage devices with a range of devices with various ports, including HDMI output for multimedia usage. The new lineup will be available this spring.
Mui demonstrated its second-generation wooden smart controller, Mui Board Gen 2, which is now live on Kickstarter for backers and will allow users to set various scenes or control Matter devices in their homes.
J5create revealed its first Thunderbolt 5 dock with an audio output, USB-A port, two Thunderbolt ports, and SD/microSD card readers. The back of the dock features two more Thunderbolt ports, two USB-A ports, and a 2.5Gb Ethernet port.
Xgimi showcased its new 4K smart projector that can move on its own to find the best wall and angle when set up in the home and is also IMAX-enhanced for exceptional picture quality.
Targus unveiled its new innovation, an award-winning mouse, the Ergo Flip mouse that can be switched from right-handed to left-handed use seamlessly and quickly.
Hyper showcased a lineup of Qi2 accessories, including an updated version of its 4-in-1 charger that folds in half for travel, a tool-less MagSafe SSD enclosure, and its own Thunderbolt 5 dock.
