It’s not going to be games that make the Vision Pro worth buying, but productivity apps like PCalc. You could put on a Vision Pro headset and choose Slack as your first app. Apps like Slack and Cisco Webex, Zoom, JigSpace, Numbers, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, and Cisco Webex will be there from day one, but it’s unclear if Microsoft Project or Microsoft Access will make it to Vision Pro. Specialized productivity apps include OmniPlan and James Thomson’s PCalc calculator app. Another significant feature of Vision Pro is that every iPad app will be available to run on it. It’s uncertain how much most apps will cost but what may make people buy over the long term is being able to do their work effectively on Vision Pro.
